This one is so exciting!
Okay, so let's talk packing (we do here on our packing advice page, too). But let's talk here about trying to minimize the amount of things we need to take. Diaper bag? Check. Baby carrier? Check. Purse? Check. How about Diaper bag, Baby carrier, and Purse all in one? CHECK!

Whether you are making your way through an airport, around a festival, or to the park, theGoGo Babyz Sidekick helps you bring less stuff. Which is always a good thing.

So how does it actually work? And is it comfortable? I'm not going to lie, when I first showed my husband, he said, "You're going to put our baby in that thing??" I can't blame him. When you first look at it, it really just looks like a diaper bag (a diaper bag with tons of room, might I add: my 5-year old even found a slot that conveniently holds an entire Elsa doll. Lucky me).

But for real, you can pop baby right in there and have your hands free to do everything else you need to do.

It takes just a little adjusting and it seriously becomes a baby carrier. Follow the instructions and it will be a breeze. Accidentally leave the instructions at home and you will have to do a frantic Google search. I'm just sayin'.

I had honestly never considered buying a Sidekick before because I thought it wanted to be my primary baby carrier. It doesn't (at least not in my mind). Little babies wouldn't easily sleep in here, but it's perfect for a more wiggly toddler who needs a little more space (and doesn't require an entire individual diaper bag full of stuff), or to tuck in the bottom of a stroller in case a little person ends up needing a little more Mama contact. Or even to bring into the store in case he is tries to wriggle out of shopping cart straps and launch himself headfirst onto a cement floor at the grocery store. Again, just sayin'.

The takeaway: if you are packing a diaper bag for your trip, you might as well pack this one. It does double duty for you. And as we said, being able to pack less stuff is ALWAYS a good thing.

My best advice for traveling with littles is to have a plan but be flexible. Don't cram your schedule because the little ones will suddenly have a blow-out diaper, or suddenly be scared of the escalator, etc. So leave plenty of wiggle room and don't get upset if you miss some activity. Remember your kids' ages and that you'll probably only be able to do 1 (maybe 2) things a day depending on those activities.

My best advice is to be flexible and allow thinges to not go as planned. You can have a wonderful plan as to when and how things will go but little ones are very unpredictible. Always expect the unexpected.
