Today is actually a fitting end to the series because yesterday, we made it to Grandmother's house (well, we call her Tita, an Arabic variation of Grandmother) after a freakishly successful road trip. Tita always has a high chair handy, but we wanted to give this puppy a shot . . . well, puppy ended up being the key word since my son gave it a run for its money when trying to feed Gido and Tita's pups. I was certain he was going to topple onto his head a few times, but somehow he didn't, although I did keep close to make sure (and take a few cute pics). ;) It loosened up a few times when he was super wiggly, but I just gave it a quick re-tie and it wasn't a problem. I was worried about him sitting too low, but he was able to easily reach up and grab his food. I suppose we could have put a chair cushion under him to help with that, but it really wasn't a problem.
The Tie Chair is a no-brainer for us from now on for travel-- it is a high quality material but isn't bulky in your suitcase and keeps you from eating all your meals with a baby in your lap. Another wonderful aspect of this product is that it was created by a mom of three whose youngest kiddo wanted to sit at a regular chair with her older siblings, and was inconsolable when she was strapped into the high chair-- with our little independent man, I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case with us soon enough! Tie Chair is sold in boutiques and online shops across the US, Canada, and Australia.
So with that said, thank you so much for coming along on this fun series. Have a very wonderful holiday season, no matter what or where you celebrate!
